Like I Don't Have Better Things To Do?

Of coarse I do, I'm still spending lots of time at the hospital, daily.  Yes I still have dogs to feed, water and walk. Still have to take care of phone calls, paperwork, bills, you know the sometimes stressful things in life. Maybe that's one of the reasons I bake, a little stress relief. Plus I like the motto...bake someone happy. After spending the day at the hospital learning new techniques to deal with my wife's stroke and how to properly help her move around I came home and started a little stress relief baking. After whipping up a few dozen cupcakes I let them cool and called it a night. This am I whipped up my special (less sweet, more smooth) coconut butter cream frosting and a batch of coconut and chocolate. I really did feel better after I assembled them and sampled one, just one. So what did i make? Almond Joy Cupcakes with a mounds center, coconut butter cream frosting topped with a little toasted coconut, sliced almonds a drizzle of chocolate and a whole almond on the top. As I was delivering them this am I got quite a few comments like..."those look yummy" and  "I'm following you" to which my response was "they are" and "I don't blame you"
Anyways as

Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center...Cookies

Since my wife has been at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center since Jan. 14th the Nursing and other medical staff has been great. Since there isn't much I can do for them I decided to make some sugar cookies for them. Also Valentines Day is coming up in a few weeks so why not combine the two. You know kill two birds with one stone kinda thing.
Well I have to get up to the hospital so here are the photos........

It's easier to view all my cakes @

It always seems that......

I always start a blog when I have absolutely no time to do it. I'm right in the middle of finishing a cake, getting it ready for delivery and the wife is saying "come spend some time with me". Seriously I just want to sit and relax for five minutes before I have to take off. It's all good, I guess I can always add to the blog when I have down that's gonna happen because like I said I always start blogging when I have no time to do it.
OK enough rant, I have to practice time management better.
So just to get the photo's up I'll leave it at that, relax with a cup of coffee and go spend a little time with the wife. Here are the photo's......
Ok I ranted yesterday...I just want to say, if someone asks you to spend time with them..DO IT! Today my wife had a stroke while at work and is hospitalized and has a long recovery ahead of her. I'm glad (for both of us) that I took time with her yesterday like she asked. Just saying you never know what one day will bring, everything else is unimportant.
