Have spent the last few days making monkeys and palm trees, mountains and coconuts, for a cake. I have a baby shower cake to deliver tomorrow and they requested a monkey themed shower cake.
Sometimes I don't like doing cakes but this was a good opportunity to do something I haven't done before, a tiered cake. It's easy. hardest part just putting the design together and then building the pieces. Very time consuming. For the most part I do enjoy it. Maybe that's why I like doing cupcakes, they are easy, less time consuming and you can still get the mmmmmmmm factor. I still have a few pieces to do for the top tomorrow but for now this is what I'm delivering. Just gonna add a few smaller monkeys to the top.
